Obituary for Silas Monroe "Pee Wee" Harper
Harper, Silas Monroe “Pee Wee”, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 92.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Gassett Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Wetumpka City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Clint Landry officiating.
Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Annie Ruth Harper.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald L. Jones (Susan) and William “Mike” Harper (Mary Kate); two daughters, Sylvia Annette Lazenby and Jolene Stroud; one sister, Hilda Kelley.
Pallbearers will be Will Harper, Wade Lazenby, Kevin Lazenby, Chuck Billings, Steve Pittman, and Troy Tapley.
Donations may be made to Ivy Creek Hospice, 500 Hospital Drive, Wetumpka, AL 36092, in Mr. Harper’s honor.
