Obituary for Shana Lee Faulkner

Shana Lee Faulkner 52 was taken to her Heavenly home by our Lord and Savior on Monday March 20, 2023.

Shana was born at George AFB, Victorville, California on June 19, 1970. She attended Victory Baptist School Millbrook and Bob Jones University.

Shana was saved at a young age. She was a faithful and Active member of Grandview Pines Baptist Church in Millbrook, AL.

Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her grandparents, George A. and Julia Bender, Meady and Joyce Hilyer, Lister and Sheila Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years Art Faulkner; her special farm family Cindy Hester, Zack Hester, Jerilyn Hyde (Wesley), granddaughters Macie Layne Barfoot and Presleigh Michael Hyde; father George Bender; mother Janet Jefcoat (Chad); mom Nancy Bender; siblings Brandi Roberts, Tammy Bender Berger (Justin), Tawni Roberts, Will Jefcoat (Sherry) and Julie Jefcoat; sister-n-laws Delaine Monfee (Rusty), Denita Clark (Clif); God daughter Hannah Lock; 9 nieces and nephews; many more family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Wetumpka, AL. A memorial service will be conducted at the church at 1:00 PM with Pastor Chance Sangster officiating. Graveside services will immediately follow at Mt. Hebron West Baptist Church Cemetery in Elmore, AL.

Special thanks to the Montgomery Cancer Center, Dr. Nimagadda, Lana Wheat, Lori Robertson, Tina Hodge and Mady Price. Also, to her care team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. A huge thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for making Shana’s last days so comfortable.
