Obituary for Sarah Ethel Burkett
BURKETT, Sarah Ethel, a resident of Equality, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the age of 99.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Ms. Burkett is preceded in death by her husband Jerome “Jerry” Burkett; daughter Cheryl Wilson; and niece Jean Jordan. She is survived by her nieces Ann Hallmon (J.T.), Patricia Ray; step-children Mark, Mike, & Wayne Burkett; numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers will be Grant Black, Brandon Black, Billy Lyon, Steven Ray, Matthew Evers, and Christopher Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carolina Cemetery, 135 Little Weoka Creek Road, Equality, Alabama
