Obituary for Mary Reeves Daniels
DANIELS, Mary Reeves, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was called home to the Lord surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Albritton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pine View Gardens with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mrs. Daniels is preceded in death by her parents Burr Ramage and Mary Bertha McDaniel Reeves; children Troy Thomas Daniels and her infant daughter. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Bill R. Daniels; children Cindy (David) Rogers, Jenni (Leighton) Greenlee; grandchildren Christen Danielle Rogers, Lindsey Jay Rogers, Julianna Marie Rogers, Billy Daniel Greenlee; and sister Karen (Brad) Miller.
Mary was completely devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her extended family and friends.
Mary was a graduate of Wetumpka High School Class of 1964. She then graduated from John Patterson and became a managing cosmetologist while working for Bailey’s Beauty Shop in Wetumpka.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Billy Daniels, Justin Hill, Jacob Hill, Joshua Hill, Jim Rushing, and Bob Helsing. Honorary pallbearers will be the Wetumpka High School Class of 1964 and Walter Ray Daniels.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka for the love and support provided during this difficult time.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka.
