Obituary for Martha Carol Bennett Murchison
MURCHISON, Martha Carol Bennett, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at the age of 83.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Wetumpka with Dr. Clint Landry officiating. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Tallassee, Alabama with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mrs. Murchison is preceded in death by her parents H. C. & Martha Bennett and her sister Betty Jean Bennett. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Robert “Bobby” Murchison; children Tanya Murchison Hibbard, Paige Murchison Atkisson (David); grandchildren Katie Cole (Scott), Abbie Otwell (Daryl), Rob Atkisson (Maci), Reg Atkisson; great-grandchildren Caleb Cole, Colyn Cole, Caroline Cole, Addy Atkisson, Tuesday Otwell, and Bae Bae Otwell.
Pallbearers will be Clay McConnell, Brian Slaughter, Ray Mullino, Jimmy Swink, Craig Elliott, and Allen Plott. Honorary pallbearers will be the E. L. Clark Sunday School Class and the Gleaners Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Wetumpka Building Fund.
