Obituary for Jerald Wayne Hilyer
HILYER, Jerald Wayne, a resident of Deatsville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the of 78.
The family will receive friends, Friday, June 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at New Home Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Sutton and Rev. Walter Batyski officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mr. Hilyer is survived by his wife Peggy Jo Hilyer; children Eric (Shannon) Hilyer, Scott (Kim) Hilyer, Gary (Wanda) Hilyer, Chris (Dicie) Hilyer; sister Sue Stripling; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; special family friends David & Janice Ingram, Bobby Joe & Shirley Swindall.
A special thank you to Alisha Tennyson, Inez Cooper, and Yashica Barris of Ivy Creek Hospice.
Pallbearers will be David Ingram, Jr., Harry Nix, Randy Wallace, Jeremy Nobles, Jesse Watley, and Roy Wood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Home Baptist Church Building Fund, 5130 Elmore Road, Wetumpka, Alabama 36092.
