Durrance, James Jerrell of Eclectic, Al, 80, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at his home. Jerrell was born October 5, 1942 to Eva Jordan and James Turner in Blackshear, Ga. Jerrell worked as a welder for many years then became a Welding Instructor at John Patterson Technical College, then at Ingram State Technical College until his retirement in 2000.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Eva Jordan, Father, James Turner, Brothers Shorty, Charles, Lawton, Sister Bertie and Granddaughter Lauren Brook. He is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Durrance, Sons, Ferrell Durrance (Kelley) of Pine Level, Derrell Durrance (Paula) of Prattville & Terrell Durrance of Eclectic as well as 3 Grandchildren, Kristen Pedrick (Kyle), LyAnne Peacock, & Lydia Durrance and 5 Great Grandchildren, Blaine, Khloe, Kollins, Kellianne and Kaleb.

Jerrell and his loving wife, Linda, were married for 57 years. They renewed their vows at their 50th Wedding Anniversary at Seman Congregational Church. He and Linda were both Baptized on October 26, 2015.

There will be a memorial service at Seman Congregational Christian Church, 15970 Central Plank Road, Eclectic, Al on Saturday, January 7th at 11am with lunch to follow.
