Obituary for J C Parrish
PARRISH, J. C. a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the age of 89.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Winston Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton, Al. at 2:00 p.m. with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mr. Parrish is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Gloria Robinson Parrish; parents Julius Ervin Parrish and Mamie Lee Parrish. He is survived by his daughter Jay Parrish; siblings Ernest Lee Parrish, Wallace Elton Parrish, James Aaron Parrish, and Rosemary Parrish Taylor.
Mr. Parrish was a Korean War Vet and an Alabama Power employee for 39 years. He loved his family with all he had his entire life. He loved his Alabama Power Co. softball teams and spending time with them. He also loved Alabama Roll Tide sports of any nature. We will all miss the greatest “Dad” joke teller of all time.
Pallbearers will be Mark Andrews, Pete Culpepper, Bradley Little, C. J. Robinson, Wayne Bozeman, Parker Shaw, and Josh Robinson.
