Obituary for Ina Claire Thornton
Thornton, Ina Claire a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at the age of 86.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Roney officiating. Burial will be at Seman Congregational Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edsel Thornton; father Lee Roy Butler and her mother Eula Dee Moseley Butler. She is survived by her children, daughter Janice Rogers (Edwin), Ronald A. Thornton; brother James Royce Butler (Glenda); grandchildren Hunter Bradley Rogers, Nicholas Harmon Rogers, Matthew Aaron Rogers; special friend and caregiver Tammie Gipson.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Rogers, Cole Rogers, Matt Rogers, James Butler, Jimmy Gunn, Jimmy Day, James Fomby, and Bill Butler.
Mrs. Thornton will lie in state 30 minutes prior to service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, 3547 Central Road, Wetumpka, Alabama 36092.
