Obituary for Ida Lou Darby
DARBY, Ida Lou, passed away Monday, March 27th , 2023 following an illness of Covid-19. She was born September 24th, 1927. She grew up and lived in the Titus area most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Clara Powell Darby and Eugene Darby; siblings, Harley Darby, Willard Darby, Mary Jean Darby Gilliard , Nell Darby Blackwell, Jewel Darby Boggus; one nephew Mark Darby; and two nieces Willie Jean Darby McInnis and Nina Darby Owens. She is survived by two nieces Marianne Stephens and Janet Hill and many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Lebanon cemetery in Titus, AL. Roger Faulkner will be officiating.
Aunt Lou was a very unique lady who loved beautiful colorful flowers and birds. She loved history and genealogy and could remember it all. She had a compassionate heart for those who were sick or in need and an earnest desire to help.
She will be missed.
