Obituary for Eula Mae (Barron) Thomas

THOMAS, Eula Mae Barron, a resident of Deatsville, Alabama passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the age of 90.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Batyski officiating. Burial will be at Coosa River Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.

Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her husband Gaston E. Thomas; parents Claude & Thelma Bentley Barron; sons Mitchell Everett & David Thomas. She is survived by her children Allen Thomas, Nancy (Shelby) Cargile, Vealinda (Harold) Pruitt, David (Jean) Thomas, Delores “Lochee” (Jerry) Lock; grandchildren Jessica Thomas, Jill (John) Cagle, Amanda Davis, Rachel (Robert) Chappell, Vanessa (Will) Heath, Adam (Starr) Pruitt, Wesley (Rachel) Thomas, Jenia (Celab) Thomas, Glenn (Sara) Thomas, Ferris Thomas, Eric Thomas, Braxton (Hannah) Lock; and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings Glenn (Janice) Barron, Mary Katherine McWhorter.

She was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church since January 31, 1993 with Pastor Eric Sutton. She loved the Lord and our Daddy for 58 years and us children till she left for her heavenly home.

Pallbearers will be Adam Pruitt, Ethan Pruitt, Noah Pruitt, Ferris Thomas, Eric Thomas, Waylon Chappell, Braxton Lock, and Garrett Heath. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Chappell and Namane Davis.
