SANFORD, Mrs. Edna Lewis, a resident of Wetumpka, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at age 87. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Sanford. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Gerald Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Gassett Funeral Home in Wetumpka. Survivors include her son, Richard L. (Melinda) Sanford, Sr.; daughter, Phyllis L. (John) Harwell; brother, Wesley (Betty) Lewis; grandchildren, Rick (April) Sanford, and Wes Sanford; great grandchildren, Emma, Ella, Ty, Case and Sawyer Sanford. Pallbearers will be Ricky Sanford, Jr., Wesley Sanford, Randy Maynard, David Hensley, Sammy Sanford and Larry Kelly. Honorary Pallbearer will be Arnold Oliver, Sr. Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund, 1326 Pleasant Hill Rd, Eclectic, Alabama 36024.
