Obituary for Dorothy F Walters

Dorothy (Dot) Mae Fuller Bruner Walters passed on October 9, 2022 at the age of 94. Born July 24, 1928 in Abbeville, AL. Grew up in Wetumpka, AL and graduated from Wetumpka High School. Graduated from Massey-Draughn Business School. Worked as a bookkeeper for WJJJ Radio Station, Pure Oil Company, Turner Auto Supply, Ethan Allen and the Alabama Public Health Department.

Survived by daughter, Carol & Tim Reynolds, sons, Mike & Donna Bruner, Brian & Bonnie Walters, Glenn & Jimmie Sue Walters, (the late Jim) & Gay Walters. Seven grandchildren and spouses, several great-grandchildren, Annette and Bill Bruner, many other family members and many, many friends.

Active in the United Methodist Church at Wetumpka, Dexter Avenue, Boylston and Prattville. President of Myrtice Rice Sunday School Class for many years. Led Golden Age for many years, arranging for entertainment and telling jokes. Participated in RSVP for more than 15 years. Known for her love of God, family, and friends.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Centerpoint Fellowship Church, 1200 McQueen-Smith Road, Prattville, AL.
