Obituary for Desmond Vann Bailey
U.S. Army Retired Colonel Desmond Vann Bailey, a resident of Wetumpka, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at age 51.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Thelma Baptist Church, 810 Weoka Road, Wetumpka, AL 36092. The family will receive friends at the church from 12-2:00, prior to services.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Kelly H. Bailey; sons, Jackson Bailey, and Cameron Bailey; grandchildren, Grayson, Madrox, and Adalyn; mother, Jenille Vann Ball; step mother Cindy Bailey; brother, Daxton (Stacey) Bailey; sister, Angela (Jarred) Cantrell; father-in-law, Wallace Hill; sister-in-law, Casey (Lewis) Culbert; brothers-in-law, Cody (Emily) Hill, and Chris (Michele) Hill, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Eclectic Police Department, and his fellow Soldiers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the Gideon Bible Foundation.
