Obituary for David Elwood Petrey
David Elwood Petrey, born October 13, 1943, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away at the age of 79.
David is survived by his wife Sarah Petrey, daughter Gina (Sam) Nix, son Andy (Melissa) Petrey, son Forrest Petrey, stepson Steven McCain, stepson Greg McCain, stepson Michael (Chris) McCain, and brother, Charles (Helen) Petrey.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elwood and Gladys Petrey.
David and Sarah were married 42 wonderful years. They enjoyed 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a number of adoring nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 10:00 am at Thelma Baptist Church located at 810 Weoka Road, Wetumpka, Alabama. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 am with George McCain and Benji Nall officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Adullam House (https://adullamhouse.org).
