Obituary for David Boyd Bailey
BAILEY, David Boyd, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the age of 80.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dave Cyr officiating. Burial will be at Alabama National Cemetery Monday, March 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Sherry Burdine Bailey; parents Guy and Lena Bailey.; brother in-law Don Peterson He is survived by his wife Barbara Flurry Bailey; children Boyd Bailey, Michelle Reeder, Matt (Christy) Flurry, Angela Flurry; grandchildren Dylan (Kasey) Flurry, Zach Flurry, Anna Flurry, Luke Flurry, Emily (Jacob) Byrd, David Reeder, Heather House, Lauren House, Justin (Hayden) House; great-grandchildren Piper Flurry, Charleigh Flurry, Braxton House, two more on the way in September. Mr. Bailey is also survived by his brother Jim Bailey (Catherine) and sisters Brenda Somerville (Rodney) and Mida Peterson Mr. Bailey retired from the United States Air Force and was a die hard Alabama fan.
