Obituary for Charles Edward "Eddie" Robbins

ROBBINS, Charles Edward “Eddie”, of Wetumpka, Alabama, went home to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, August 15, 2022. He was born on February 15, 1953, in Mobile, Alabama. He was a graduate of Wetumpka High School in 1971.

He is preceded in death by his son Charles Taylor Robbins; parents Betty Jo & Jack Robbins; and brother Tommy Robbins.

Eddie was an amazing athlete and loved all sports, especially baseball, retiring to softball in adulthood. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved working with his hands to build anything and everything. Eddie was a longtime member of Santuck Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and in many other ministries. His love of the Lord, his family and serving others was witnessed by all that met him. However, nothing touched his heart more than the love of Jesus and his family. Even on his last day, he was serving the Lord by serving others with Carpenters for Christ. Because of his faith, he is now in heaven with the greatest Carpenter of all.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., at Gassett Funeral Home.
